Be certain that your candles are set firmly and upright in their holders.

In re-lighting a partially burned candle, never straighten the wick. It should be curved to burn properly.

Drafts, excessive vibrations or nearby heat sources may encourage dripping and should be avoided.

Candles may drip when burned in candle lamps due to the degree of heat which can develop inside the glass globe, and due to the inflow and outflow of air through the globe top. To provide ventilation at the base, slightly raise the globe from its base (a penny works fine) to allow cool air to enter from the bottom and the hotter air to escape through the top.

Wooden taper holders should include a metal socket to prevent the holder from igniting.

Wider candles and more drip resitant due to their wider profile.
